📖 LESSON OVERVIEW

This lesson explains why every person needs salvation. Beginning with Adam’s fall, the universal sin nature, and God’s remedy through Jesus Christ, students will understand the origin of sin, the necessity of salvation, and the biblical process of being saved.

SECTION 1 — THE PROBLEM: WHY WE NEED SALVATION

Born in Sin

Romans 5:12 teaches that sin entered the world through one man — Adam. When Adam disobeyed God, he lost God’s presence and became spiritually dead. His sinful nature was passed to all humanity.

Key Truth: You don’t become a sinner by sinning — you sin because you were born a sinner.

Separated From God

Adam’s sin caused:

  • Loss of fellowship with God

  • Spiritual death

  • A sinful nature passed to all humanity

  • Universal guilt and condemnation

This is why every person needs salvation.

SECTION 2 — THE CONSEQUENCES OF SIN

God’s Wrath

Romans 5:9 reveals that without Christ, we are under God’s wrath — His righteous judgment against sin.

Condemnation

John 3:18 says: “He that believeth not is condemned already…”

People do not become condemned when they die — they are already

A Personal Choice

God does not send people to hell. People choose hell by rejecting Jesus Christ.

SECTION 3 — GOD’S SOLUTION: JESUS CHRIST

Christ Died for Us

Romans 5:6–8 shows that Christ died for us while we were ungodly, sinners, and enemies.

SECTION 3

Justification & Reconciliation

Through Christ’s blood:

  • We are justified

  • We are reconciled

  • We are saved from wrath

  • We receive peace with God

Adam vs. Christ

Adam’s disobedience brought sin; Christ’s obedience brought salvation.

Where sin abounded, grace abounded much more.

SECTION 4 — HOW TO BE SAVED

Romans 10:9–10 gives the clear biblical process of salvation.
